a2uploader - virus problem

There are numerous reports about a2uploader having a virus. The program is for "hacking into the phone" - to call it that way. Antivirus programs don't like that. Higher quality antiviruses will ask you for options about a2uploader. To allow the execution or block it. Lower quality will delete or block the file on instant.

a2uploader has no virus and it is not dangerous for your PC

Kaspersky warning I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, one of the best antiviruses out there. It confirms a2uploader has no virus. On execution of a2uploader.exe for the first time the dialog box, as shown on the right, appears. As you can see, it is rated as possibly dangerous. I've selected Yes there, as I know the program can't harm my computer. I'm using a2uploader since December, 2008 and I can tell you everything still works fine.

Solution for AVG users

Open AVG, go to Tools, and look down until there is an open menu called Resident Shield, under it there's a sub menu called Exceptions, create a folder on the desktop, go on exceptions, click Add Path, find the folder you just created and select it, then download a2uploader from the site to that folder and now you can use the a2uploader from there.
Thanks to Matty Collins for this solution!

Anyway, if you're still afraid of flashing your phone with that program, there are also paid tools like DaVinci team's flasher, but I can't help you with that, as I never used it. Also, on this site you have a big selection of flash stuff that needs no a2uploader usage to make it work.
Enjoy
